  • 1-1/2 lbs potatoes
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 stick butter
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese
    Seasonings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp parsley

    Steps for Completion
  1. Slice potatoes into quarters and boil until soft. While potatoes are boiling, bake the bacon at 400°F for 20 minutes or until very crispy. Also grate all the cheese.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. After potatoes are done, drain the water and add the milk, sour cream, half the butter, and half the cheese and mash. Add seasonings to taste.
  3. Put the mash in the casserole dish and top with the rest of the cheese and butter. Cut the butter into patties and place around evenly. Bake for 40 minutes.
  4. Grind or break-up the bacon into bits to top the casserole when done baking.
